2018-03-03, bottle from Powell, 2 years old, 6-3-7-3-15=34
As it was a few months ago: not too dry, juicy, not too sour; but now it seems to be a bit less zesty. Still pretty good.

2017-09-08, bottle from Powell, 7-4-8-4-15=38
Cloudy golden color with barely any head. Nice aroma, lactic acid, some citrus peel, hint of tropical fruit. Moderately sour, not too dry, nor weak, with refreshing character, zest, and mild astringency in the final.
Very pleasant.

2016-03-03, draught at Powell, 6-3-7-3-13=32
Blond color, just hazy, with small head. The aroma is sour, a bit fruity, and with farto-yeast. It's very dry, but not weak; it has a strong flavor of unripe fox grapes, the lactic acidity is prominent, aggressive.
Not very graceful, but still palatable.

On tap at Alibi Room. Sweety, dark fruits aroma and taste with some hoppy bitterness. But character of this beer in the aftertaste with hoppy and burnt malt bitterness. Really good aftertaste for black IPA.

On tap at Alibi Room. Very fresh and clear piney hoppiness aroma and taste. Very bitter aftertaste with piney notes. Good stuff.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a reddish hue and a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt, earthy notes and pronounced hopping amidst all that. Flavour is robust and complex, with roasted malt, lots of dark fruits, earthy notes and of course lots of hops. Quite harmonious and not abrasive at all. Well-constructed and very enjoyable.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Pale blond color, hazy. It has an unexpected but nice fruity and grassy aroma, pears, orange blossom. Dry mouthfeel, rather weak; lacking in the malt flavor, and not very exciting with the hops either.
More was expected from F&W.

Cloudy blond color. The Destiny IPA is usually a good beer; conditioning it near flat and adding grapefruit is an abomination, I get candy flavor, and some pithy bitterness. It’s still quite bitter.
Not very good.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a fairly clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of floral dry hopping, lots of tart citrus and prominent lacto yeast. Flavour is quite acidic and citric, with these elements dominating, followed by some lacto and fairly laid back floral dry hopping. Suffers from the same problems as all Powell Street sours so far: far too acidic and grainy in its sourness. Not terrible, but far from on the mark.

Draught, Alibi. Amber and hazy, with a bubbly head. Lemon and mango. Nice bitterness with slightly sweet amber malt sweetness. Has a lemony character with a little bit of cantaloupe and papaya. Good, solid lPA.

Bottle, Legacy. Dark brown with a very big head. Very assertive hop nose with a fair bit of chocolate as well, not much rye. A bit thin, with hearty bitterness. Light chocolate but without much nuance.
