So how many craft brewers are there in B.C. anyways? And why are there several more every time I get back to Vancouver? Is this a part of the economic action plan, to have a brewer in every small town? The results are uneven, and I wonder how many of these brewers will even exist five years from now; and I can’t guarantee that my efforts to purchase their products will keep them afloat in an incredibly crowded market. Nonetheless this beer pours with an okay dark brown-black body and modest head, ehuminating an aroma that best resembles iced coffee. The flavour is kind of a mixed sweetness that is iced coffee once you have dumped a packet of sugar into it. So, this beer really defies description but can best be described as cold alcoholized coffee - which might work on some teenaged hipsters in the Fraser valley but since I’m not one of them, it merely gains a "meh" from me.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a cloudy faded golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings loads of fresh strawberries, with medium sweetness. Flavour is like a fresh strawberry pie, with medium sweetness and a light wheat backbone. The strawberries dominate and are incorporated very well. Very nice easy drinking summer beer.

650 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with light head. Aromas of sugary strawberry candy and dusty wheat. Flavors of sweetened strawberries and lemon. Super sugary.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with huge head. Aromas of dusty chocolate, nuts, and wet roasted malts with a little pine and alcohol. Flavors of bitter chocolate, roasted malts and bitter nuts. Don’t really get the west coast hops. More grassy bitterness.

On June 21, 2015. At St. Augustine’s, in Vancouver, British Columbia.Shady straw yellow color, white head. Hoppy, bitter, citrus, caramel taste. Bitter, light phenolic aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Phenolic, citrus, hoppy scent.

Fuggles & Warlock event at Sportstown, Richmond; plastic cup, 16oz
Interesting aroma, it blends the mellow and spicy aroma of American Saisons with some fruit (more apricot than peach). Smooth mouthfeel, not too dry; the Saison flavor and the peach clash, and the final has some of that unpleasant vegetable bitterness found in other fruit beers. Disturbing final, I can’t finish the cup.
Probably a good Saison, but it’s a terrible idea overall.

Wit is not a style I favour, and it’s probably not a style Fuggles & Warlock work much with; the aroma is less than convincing, papery; smooth mouthfeel, drier than I expected, the beer flavor is simple, the strawberry is light and doesn’t add much; correct bitterness. Said so, it’s also clean and balanced; not interesting for me but well brewed.
If you look for a beer, get a good Fuggles & Warlock, if you like strawberry wheat beers, this is for you.

This was the birth of the concept for F&W, brewed by blending the Big River Kolsch and strawberry puree
Murky amber color with compact head and some microscopic piece of strawberry. The wheat beer is soft, mellow, and provides a pleasant support to the real strawberry puree flavor, moderately sweet, and with low bitterness.
Nice because sweet and because the fruit is evident.

Cask - Fresh strawberry and some light tart notes. Cloudy pink orange with a decent white head. Sweet milky strawberry and milky notes. Long creamy finish. Like a strawberry milkshake.

Bottle - Orange and earthy hops. Clear gold with a decent white head. Earthy hops, some citrus and caramel sweetness with a bit of orange in the finish. OK.

@12 Kings. Hazy blonde. Thick head. Chewy rye character but the malts fall away, and the hops have a stale, cheesy quality.
