Draught at Sportstown, Richmond
Dark brown color, creamy head. This brown ale is above the average, roasty character, but with a few other elements too, some dark bread and chocolate; and as expected by this brewery, a very strong hopping.
Very nice.

Draught at Sportstown, Richmond; 16oz
Cloudy light amber color with a dull hue, creamy head. Good body strength, good malt backbone, a bit of cereals, with light residual sugars, a clean touch from the Lager yeast, and a truckload of hops; very resiny hops, lightly fruity; this one is an IPA with a different malt and yeast profile. Hop soup.
I came here skeptic, but this is very interesting. Brutal though.

Draught at St. Augustineβs, Vancouver
Dark amber color with red hue, hazy, compact head. The aroma is not too strong, but provides some fruity hops, and a floral touch. Full bodied, just the right amount of sweetness to balance the nutty caramel flavor; and then a holy cow of hop goodness, with a distinctive fruity presence. Nutty final. Clean.
Excellent.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver, 420ml
Amber color, hazy, with frothy head. Nice hoppy aroma, citrus fruit, might grapefruit, with an impression of animal sweat, horse. Good mouthfeel, with light residual sweetness; the malt flavor takes a caramel dress, but itβs palatable; you can tell that tons of hops were used here, they provide a strong hop resin presence, and more moderate fruity character.
Between old school and new IPA, bold, smooth, well brewed.

Hazy light amber color with small head retention. Good IPA, clean, powerful and balanced; having rye in it, the malt and caramel profile is stronger than other IPAs, but also with strong bitterness carrying plenty of resiny hops, bitter orange peel and some other citrus fruit. The aroma is a bit lemony.
The more I drink of it, the more I appreciate its balance and character.

Bottle - Sweet caramel, grapefruit hops, spicy rye and some tropical fruit. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. Bitter and fruity up front, caramel and la light spice. A bit floral as well. Very interesting with lots of flavors. I think this is pretty nice and complex.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of gummy bears, candied fruit, and sweet malts with definite floral/perfume notes. Flavors of sharp grain/rye, dark candied fruit, and more sweet malts. Acrid and somewhat off balance.
