On tap at Dageraad, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma has some dankness, citrusy hops, light pine, and juicy stone fruits. Flavour is very citrusy, with bitter grapefruit peel, citrusy hops, and underripe green melon. Bitter, citrusy finish, but not the most invigorating hop expression. It’s alright.

200mL pour at the taproom. Pours black with a tan head. Toasted malts on the nose. Flavour has roasted malts and dark chocolate, a bit sweeter than expected and not as roasty; dryish finish. Palate is a bit syrupy on the way out. Enjoyable, but a bit disappointing.

200mL pour at the taproom. Pours murky yellow with a white head. Bright lemon citrus and fresh grass on the nose. Flavour has lots of sweet lemon sugar, some bitter pith, and fresh grass. Not bad.

Dullish pale. Hazy. Fruity aroma. On the palate, weak malts and low bitterness fail to provide adequate structure for fruity, slightly floral hop expression. So there is some good here, but it goes wasted because of the substandard fermentation. Certainly substandard for Dageraad.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 2025-01-16). Clear pale blonde with slowly dissipating white head. Dry and seltzery with some mild rustic saison yeast and very feint hopping. A bit bland, but packs some decent flavour at 2.4% abv. Not bad for quite a low alc beer. Rating accordingly.

On tap the Magnet, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is gentle, with subtle hops, toasted biscuity malt and a touch of Belgian yeast esters. Flavour is crisp and dry, with crisp toasted malt and some seltzery notes. Crisp, dry, but uninteresting.

Every evening, I can watch the crow train commuting home. Often, they follow False Creek on their way from Vancouver out to their home in the suburbs, usually Burnaby. No joke, Burnaby is Murder City. few homicides, but murders galore. I had this in a can, and I bought it at Legacy. Opaque and fairly pale yellow. Not a lot of head. I would say the nose is overly hopped, like overripe fruit, being tangerine, pomelo, papaya, pineapple and possibly some sort of lychee, if I lived in Hong Kong and left the lychee on my windowsill too long and it started to ferment. The body is fairly light, has a similar sort of overripe fruit character. Just a touch of pale malt. At this point, all hazy and hazyish IPAs taste the same to me. So this is okay, but it does finish a bit watery, a bit weaker than most.

[Anno 2024] 220mL pour at the brewery. Pours murky blonde with foamy white head. Light candied sugar, cloves, and herbs on the nose. Flavour has esters, cloves, some light sugar sweetness, followed by bitter herbs. Not particularly exciting, but well-made.

220mL pour at the brewery. Pours hazy golden blonde with a foamy white head. Bright Belgian yeast, cloves, light sugar on the nose. Flavour has a nice Belgian yeast expression, pretty well-dialed in with the carbonation, some bitter herbal notes. Very solid.

Poured from 375mL bottle (from 12 days of Xmas box; bottled Nov 07, 2024). Chill hazed dull brownish gold with small off white head. Aroma is just whiskey barrel, taste is dominated by the whiskey with some feint vanilla notes, the Belgian esters and original goodness of Antigoon mostly disappears, quite boozy. Overall, the original non-barrel aged Antigoon is much better. If they used some better whiskey barrels, maybe this would improve, but ultimately Okanagan whiskey detracts from the original Antigoon. Not taking original Antigoon into account, it's still an okay beer.
