Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Pale blond colour, cloudy. Nice aroma, tropical fruits, almost delicate. Soft mouthfeel, a bit starchy, little residual sweetness; the hop is more vegetable than fruity, there's light hopburn.
Not an elegant, nor a clean Hazy; it's ok.

16oz shared with Alex (thx for the beer, man!) @ home. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits, a bit sweet. Taste: along the same lines, quite bitter in the finish, like a lot of very bitter grapefruit. Not thick enough for DIPA. Overall: just ok, too bitter for me.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond, a darker shade, hazy. The aroma is mild, but nice, with bready character. Dry and crisp mouthfeel; nice malt base, fresh breadcrust, biscuits, chewy (7+); the bitterness is decent as well, with grassy and spicy touch. Clean beer, very good.

Re-rate: Poured from 473mL can (leftover saved from beerplace/fiulijn tasting). Same rating, but not as bright - still decent, but -0.1 for mouthfeel. Okay. Mar 09, 2024 (7/3/8/4/16=3.8): Poured from the tap @ Superflux (Superflux lists it as 8% ABV on the menu?). Murky yellow with small white head. Lots of tropical hops, some grapefruit, quite nice.

Opaque, just a thin head. Bright papaya and apricot hop aroma. Juicy palate, a fair bit of sweetness up front, grapefruit and peach. The bitterness builds on the tongue quickly. A touch of chalk but mostly bright juiciness. I hope Superflux was taking notes because if they learned how to make IPA from S&O the way S&O learned how to make lager from Dageraad, that kind of knowledge transfer would benefit the craft beer scene here a lot.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a small white bear. Aroma brings out bright piney hops, biscuity malt, and a touch of grass. Flavour is bright, with lots of grassy and piney hops, biscuity malt, citrus and some spiciness. Spicy, citrusy and piney finish. Very good.

Pale amber and bright. Thin head. Lots of grapefruit, orange rind, hints of piney c hop, a fair bit of pale malt, leaning towards bready. Good, well-balanced, drinks easy.
