On tap at Steel & Oak, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, some earthiness, and a touch of fruitcake. Flavour is on the less sweet side for a barley wine, with bready malt, toasted caramel and a bit of fruitcake. The lower-than-average sweetness for the style definitely works but it leaves something to be desired for complexity. Still, good effort here.

On tap at Steel & Oak, pours a clear dark amber with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out some wild bugs, lacto, light tart cherry, and subtle dark fruit. Flavour is somewhat buggy, somewhat lacto-y — they say they didn't want to create a kettle sour, but this has those elements — there's also some gentle tart red berry. Not a great yeast expression. Not bad but needs plenty of work.

On tap at Steel & Oak, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out tons of saline, followed by citrus and lacto. Flavour is full of saline, lacto and citrus, finishing salty and yogurty. Quite competently made, even if a bit too yogurty. Pleasant.

On tap at Steel & Oak, pours a blast golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle citrus, some grass and a hint of flora mustiness. Flavour is dry, with notes of straw and sweet biscuity malt. I wouldn't detect the grapes if I wasn't looking for them. Pretty underwhelming. I want more grape must character here. It's fine.

On tap at Steel & Oak, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out gently tart cherries upfront, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is moderately sweet, with bready malt, toasted caramel and a hint of cherries. Nice cohesion — wouldn't think it'd work to add cherries to an English strong ale, but it works alright. Good.

On tap at Steel & Oak, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle jasmine and lightly sweet biscuity malt. Flavour is subtle, with dry biscuity malt and only a subtle hint of jasmine. I'd like more of the jasmine. It's alright; underwhelming and uninteresting.

Poured from 500mL bottle (bottled July 2022). Near black with full beige head. Oak and tobacco, mild rye and roast malt underlie, hint of char, decent.

500mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is pretty earthy, with a subdued roasted malt bill and a touch of oak. Flavour is very oak-forward, with plenty of woody oak, some vanillin, and moderate roast. On the drier side, but there's enough sweetness to balance that oak. Really nice barrel character her. Excellent.

Poured from the tap. Near clear light amber brown with small white head. Rye malt forward with hint of juniper. A bit timid and boring.

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with small white head. Mild lager yeast, almost pilsner like with light white wine vinous notes and a touch of honey.
