Quite dark brown. Aroma has hints of toffee, chocolate and brown sugar. A bit fizzy up front, a dash of chocolate, touch of brown sugar and hazelnut. Probably a bit thin for me - I like a little more residual sugar in this type of beer - but a good example.

Black, lasting tan head. Light roasty nose. Slightly fatty medium roast profile. A solid effort

Copper-amber color, bright light, hazy, with medium sized creamy head. Very light aroma of lightly toasted malts, too light, too little. Dry mouthfeel, with strong carbonation, therefore smooth enough; the flavor blends some dry caramel with gently roasted malts, and an impression of toffee and fudge, and it’s quite original; correct bitterness.
Peculiar, nice, clean.

Murky blond color with generous creamy head. The aroma is delicate, with some spices and fruits, but also lightly feety. Smooth mouthfeel, dryish; very light bready flavor with timid spices and even less fruits; correct bitterness. Overall it delivers a fresh impression.
But it’s quite anonymous.

Dark brown, thin head. Rich molasses nose is great, all burnt and sticky, huge molasses taste is actually a bit too much...wow burly. You gotta love molasses because I swear the porter is getting lost.

Hazy honey colour. Nice froth down the glass. Fruity aroma. Taste is full of bright hops (mango, pine, and papaya) along w just a touch of sweet and slightly sticky honeyish malt. Nice, good quaffer.

Amber-brown and with a loose head. Not much aroma but some nice breadcrust, toffee and tea maltiness, full body and slight dryness in the finish. Still just an amber to me but a tasty one. Rerate: No notes but subsequent samples have impressed me enough to bump the score. Very well-balanced with a great malt character in particular.

Dark amber color, clear, with compact head. it has a very mild cocoa aroma. Smooth, initially dryish, although it develops some sweetness later; the blend of malt, caramel and cocoa is mild and harmonious; correct bitterness, with a hint of sweet buts in the end. The brandy leaves some trace but it’s not immediately detected.
Balanced and elegant; surgical, clean; very good beer.

Black impenetrable color with creamy beige head. The aroma of roasted-something and ashes is quite dusty, not too strong luckily. Dry and lean mouthfeel; like other beers from this brewery, many flavor components play on the same level: roasted malts, coffee, roasted nuts; it has also a mild feeling of paper, and very light lactose-like feeling; correct bitterness, with possible hidden hop resins.
Somehow personalized, not 100% German, but well brewed.

Draught at St Augustine. Clear amber with a thin head, good lacing. Nutty malt aroma. Flavor us biscuit and bread. Mild malty finish
