03-02-19 // tap at Markthalle 9 Berlin at the Wurst&Bier Festival. Vertical with a 2 and a 3 year old. Lovely stuff. 3y more vanilla and oak. The 2y old was with a thicker and creamier body. But the 3y was much more complex. I liked both but would prefer a blend of the 2.

Thanks to Erzengel for this one! Bottle looks simple. Gusher! Beer in the glass golden, nice head. Starts fine malty, light fruity with only light strawberry notes. Finish well balanced, soft-malty with light sweetness. Okay.

0.33 l bottle from 'Hopfenrausch', best before May 2019. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, some coffee and traces of vanilla. Gently sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of milk chocolate, coffee, licorice and some hazelnut, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant RIS, comparably quaffable and extremely well-balanced. Well done!
