Bit of a malty soda finish after a bit but maybe not fresh enough, upfront nice cake flavor though

Tasting at Matt's, can
Opaque dark brown colour. Mild sweetness, some caramel, enough body, light fruity esters.
Rather boring, but not bad by any means.

16 oz. can, pours a deep dark red with a small beige head. Aroma is earthy and malty, with plenty of burnt caramel bready malt, and a little wood. Flavour is quite burnt, with lots of toasted caramel, bready malt, and dry earthy notes. This is quite pleasant. Has enough malt and body. Good.

Tap at the brewery. Dry and wheaty, but with a hint of fruitiness, light tropical. Little bit of leafy bitterness. Nice.

Tap at the brewery. Initial brown ale spicy kick then some caramel. Malty sweetness is very nice and there's just a little fruity hoppiness. --- Beer merged from original tick of Estate Brown Ale on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Tap at the brewery. Very soft, starts almost like a brown ale, then dark fruit, slightly vinous, an almost creamy sweetness, vanilla, toffee, hint of pear. Really nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Old Skook Barleywine on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 9. Nice again, all their beers seem to be! Strength well hidden, sticky resinous hops, spiky malt. Like it. --- Beer merged from original tick of Big Juice Double IPA on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8.
