Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Chestnut colour, dirty. Vague aroma of malt. Now, if the flavour was sticky and sweet, it would be anachronistic but I may still appreciate it as Barley Wine; instead, it's mostly earthy, with basic hop, some orange peel (surprise…), and astringent finish.
Old style, and not well executed.

The aroma is all sweet barley note, has good dark beige foam on a blackish brown body. Flavour is soft sweet barley with a hint of cinnamon. Mouthfeel is full and dry. Simple but drinkable.

Faint nothingness on the nose, has okay deep orangey gold body that was poured too high so no foam. Flavour is nice malts, very smooth. Okay carbonation. It's decent, more pale ale than cream ale though.

Okay malt aroma, has a deep copper body with modest foam. Flavour is dry pepper saison with hints of sweet barley. Mouthfeel is dry. It's decent, though a little simple.

Tasting at Salesforce, can
Dark brown colour, not far from black. A bit earthy, some cocoa, decent aroma, the flavour is a bit dirty and weak in the finish.

Dark blond colour, hazy. Dry (not even a Milkshake IPA), hoppy, but the lime really makes it taste like cleaning product; vegetable finish.

Jet black with a decent beige head. Cherry and dark chocolate. Dark choc9kTe and cherry fruity notes. Not bad, but a bit off balance.

473mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out gentle cherries and toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and a hint of cherries. Toasty and gentle fruity, but not very interesting. Meh.
