Description
The Zorzettig brothers, Marco and Massimo, sharing a long lasting experience in winemaking, are now entering the world of microbreweries, they are going to highlight the value of their own crops: 14 hectares of barley and 2 hectares of wheat. The first used to produce base malt and the latter to obtain weizen beer. It is not by chance that the brewery is located in San Pietro al Natisone: the water springs of Monte Mia, supplying a pure and non contaminated water, crucial for the quality and success of the brew. The brewery relies on sustainability: the power consumption need for brewing is completely given by renewable sources. The beers are top fermented and craft made without any filtration and pasteurising.

50cl bottle. Pours opaque, dark gold, with a good head of white foam, fine. Aroma is fruity. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is well balanced between sweet and bitter. Final is fairly short.

@home poured into a shaker. Opaque deep brown colour, good fizzy beige head, mostly diminishing, minor lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramal, candy sugar, liquorice. Taste light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, malty, caramel, candy sugar, liquorice. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, sugary, thinnish, too sweet, disappointing.

@home poured into a shaker. Hazy pale amber colour, small steady moussy white head, minimal lacing. Aroma pale malt, lemon, tangerine, peach, sharon fruit, honey. Taste medium sweet and light to medium bitter, malty, grapefruit, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, orange pith, becoming, lingering dryness in the finish with cardboard and mineral notes, not your typical IPA, very nice.

Tolles Fläschchen. Geschmack erstmal sehr ungewohnt. Sanft, schwere Süsse durch Malz und Fruchtzucker. Die 10% sind nicht dominant, es trinkt sich gut. Ein gelungenes Bier-Wein-Crossover.

Hazy medium golden colour, good and stable frothy white head, good lacing. Aroma sweet malt, white grapes, yeast. Taste medium sweet and bitter, not that aromatic, light malty, fruity, yeasty. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lingering light astringent dry sweetbitter aftertaste, cardboard, woody, mineral touch, nice when you like the style.

Strong wheat nose. Clear pale golden colour, small fizzy white head, disappears quickly, when pourd completely the beer becomes hazy with some tiny yeast particles. Aroma wheat, yeast, orange, light lemon. Taste medium sweet, some bitterness and a touch of acidity, wheat, lemon, very light banana, spicy yeast. Light body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, sweet aftertaste, sugary and banana notes, easy to drink, not really a weizen but okay.
