The Zorzettig brothers, Marco and Massimo, sharing a long lasting experience in winemaking, are now entering the world of microbreweries, they are going to highlight the value of their own crops: 14 hectares of barley and 2 hectares of wheat. The first used to produce base malt and the latter to obtain weizen beer. It is not by chance that the brewery is located in San Pietro al Natisone: the water springs of Monte Mia, supplying a pure and non contaminated water, crucial for the quality and success of the brew. The brewery relies on sustainability: the power consumption need for brewing is completely given by renewable sources. The beers are top fermented and craft made without any filtration and pasteurising.

Strong wheat nose. Clear pale golden colour, small fizzy white head, disappears quickly, when pourd completely the beer becomes hazy with some tiny yeast particles. Aroma wheat, yeast, orange, light lemon. Taste medium sweet, some bitterness and a touch of acidity, wheat, lemon, very light banana, spicy yeast. Light body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, sweet aftertaste, sugary and banana notes, easy to drink, not really a weizen but okay.

Slightly unclear medium golden, small frothy white head, dissipating slowly. Aroma wheat malt, yeast, coriander, floral hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, herbal notes. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering bitterness. chalky notes, okay blond.

Clear brilliant medium amber, tall creamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma sweet malt, caramel, bread, candy sugar. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter, malty notes, well-made amber, very nice.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of wheat malt notes with light cloves and bubble gum notes. Taste is also a mix of strong wheat malt with light residual sugar, cloves and light coriander notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable and refreshing wit.

Sampled at Brassigaume 2019. A clear reddish orange beer with a white head. Aroma of red berries, brett, grapes. Taste of red berries, lactic fruits, raspberry, sugar. Interesting.

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of cereals, grapes, yeast and wine. Pours cloudy dark golden color with thin creamy white head, nice lacing and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts medium sweet grainy and bready, following is vinous, yeasty and medicinal, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is moderate grassy bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Not bad, but not easy to drink...

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen at Tau slipp & båtbyggeri 23.07.19. Straw colour. Aroma and taste of 7-UP, lemon, lime, sorrel and pilsner malt. Quite dry and fizzy.

Dag 2 med Fridtjofen på slipp, Tau juli-19. 0,33 flaske fra Holmens importkoffert, delt med skibsreden og lettmatros Egdetveit. Nesten helt klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Gule epler, rips, nyper, appelsinmarmelade og et par furunåler. Furunål dominerer i afslutningen.

Dag 2 med Fridtjofen på slipp, Tau juli-19. 0,5 flaske fra Holmens importkoffert, delt med skibsreden. Lett uklar oransjegylden med fint skum som varer. Aprikos, fersken, mango og tørkede frukter i en lettdrikkelig kombinasjon. Mild, fruktig bitterhed i afslutningen. Ble nokså søt og endimensjonal helt mot slutten.
