Draught White, rocky head, which is fully lasting. Clear, yellow body. Fair lace. Weak aroma of malts and hops. Moderately bitter in the beginning, lightly bitter in the end. Lightly bodied and softly carbonated. A decent, hop-bitter pilsener that looks great.

Golden amber with a white foamy head. Smell is of a sweet hoppy aroma. Bitter grainy beer typical for Germany.

Test vom 16.5.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,5,5,2,11,3 - 4,05

Import bottle, stamped "BIT 05." As the bottle claims, "Das Konig der Biere." Well, we’ve heard this promise before and been way disappointed. Pours yellow, not deep but with some substance, under a foamy white head. Smell is strong with hints of skunk.Light streams of bubbles along the sides of the glass. Once the skunk smells clears, there’s actually a pleasant beer taste. Sharp noble hop bitterness against a light malt taste. Again, this might be much nicer closer to the source. Got it from the "loose bottle rack" at Sam’s Wines in Downers Grove.

Tap/bottle. Light malt and light hops aroma. Golden yellow with nice head. Mild barley malt aroma - clean tasting with moderate carbonation. A nice typical German pils - not too hoppy and crisp and clean.

Bottle. Very bready and metallic aroma. Weird hop smell. Golden colour, big-bubbled head. Quite bitter, harsh flavour. A little watery.

(Bottle 33 cl) Looks pretty much like a normal pilsener but the head collapses a bit fast. Unusual, indefinable aroma - somewhat bready perhaps. Thin-bodied with a solid dose of hops making you feel, that this really is beer. 080200

Bottle. Yellow colour, small white head. Flavour is malty with some hoppiness. Full mouthfeel for a pils.
