Bottle at Patricks. A hazy, golden beer with a small white head. The aroma has a nice fruityness, some berries tossed in, and pale malts as a base. Nice, clean and straight forward although a bit ordinary. The flavor has a nice base with pale malts, and piney, citrusy hops giving a pleasant bitterness. Medium body, dry on the palate. A pleasant, well crafted and easy drinkable beer. 100213

Bottle, at Patricks. It’s an unclear brown beer topped by an off-white head. Some cellar and chocolate in the aroma, quite malty, with some hops, but they are a bit anonymous. Well balanced aroma though. The flavor has a nice chocolate touch, malty sugar and a balancing bitterness. Full body. Bitter finish with chocolate. I enjoyed drinking it, but it’s definately not a big beer in any way, and obviously a bit aged. 100213

Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel. flavour is dust, hop, coffee, roasted, malt, caramel. OK/ Nice beer.

75 cl bottle. Black with a slight orange tint and a high, fine, tan head. Dry aroma of coffee, raisins, caramel, spices and a bit of root beer. Spicy, fruity flavor with dark chocolate, licorice, cookies. Bitter and dry with really quite complex flavors. Can’t taste the rice (good thing!). Great balance. Excellent stuff: light and dry, not too sweet. A great interpretation of the “Saison Noir” concept. A bit hot still, though—could use a bit of aging.

Small very white head. Hazy intense yellow body. Strange earthy herbal mineral aroma with gingery notes. Dry citric herbal mineral taste with resiny earthy notes. Light body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry earthy herbal plastic afftertaste. Nice, unusual. (0.33l bottle, Olympen, Oslo.)

Small offwhite head does not last. Deep dark hazy red body. Malty spicy peppery aroma with fruity notes. Dry-sweetish earthy fruity peppery taste with roasty grainy notes. Mild mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry peppery dusty roasty aftertaste with fruity wooden notes. Quite bitter. Nice, but actually fairly mild. (0.33l bottle, Håndverkerstuene.)

Thin white head. Hazy orangey body. Meathy earthy alcohol aroma with malty notes. Sweet alcoholic peas taste with roasty wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry resiny wooden aftertaste with resiny pine needle notes. (0.33l bottle, Håndverkerstuene.)
