On tap at Birrificio Italiano , pours a cloudy dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma has lots of wild bugs, tart cherries, cherry pith, and a touch of acetonic character. Flavour has a nice wild yeast expression, with tart cherries, wild yeast, gentle acetonic notes, and a dry buggy finish. Well-constructed. Good.

On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a deep dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has toasted malt, a touch of roast, and a hint of fruitiness. Flavour is roastier than your average dark lager, with light honey, moderate hops, and earthiness. Roasty, hoppy finish in good balance. Very good.

5.6/10 — Appearance 6 Aroma 6 Flavor 6 Texture 5 Overall 5
On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a medium white foamy head. Aroma has cloves, estery notes, and a little citrus. Flavour is like a hef (not whatever an Italian wheat is), with cloves, citrus zest, and estery notes. Fairly dry, with an estery, lightly citrusy finish. Decent.

On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma has a very weird hop character—almost fungal and sulphuric—with little else discernible. Flavour has a strange hop expression, with earthy hops, fungal notes, and bready malt. Not a great hop expression. This doesn’t work.

On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has a nice bready caramel malt base, with light toasted nuts in back. Flavour has a reasonably deep maltiness—toffee, bready malt, a touch of burnt sugars—with a very dry finish. Clean and malty, satisfyingly brewed. Good.

On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma has bright grassy hops, pine, and biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and hoppy, with seltzery notes, grassy hops, and crisp biscuity malt. A bit too seltzery but quite solid.

6/10 — Appearance 6 Aroma 6 Flavor 6 Texture 6 Overall 6
On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly laid back for a double pils, with soft grassy hops, straw, and biscuity malt. Flavour is likewise not particularly expressive, with seltzery notes and biscuity malt. Falls pretty flat, with little hop expression. Meh.
