355mL can. Pours opaque dark brown with minimal tan head. Aroma has tons of cocoa, chilies, brown sugar, and some bourbon. Flavour is very similar, big hit of cocoa and chilies, lots of brown sugar and finished nicely with the bourbon barrels, though not particularly prominent overall. Very nice.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours nearly black with beige head. Aroma has tons of toasty coffee and wafers. Flavour has a ton of roasty malts, chocolate, coffee, and wafers. Mouthfeel is appropriately thick. Very solid.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours murky reddish pink with off-white head. Aroma has fresh berries and grass. Flavour has a bunch of blackberry, currants, and plum skins; some excess sugar. Meh.

5oz pour at Twin Sails. Pours murky gold with white head. Aroma has bright pine, fruity berries, some stonefruit. Flavour has juicy citrus and berries with some bitter pine on the finish. Lingering on the palate is an unrefined alcoholic character, vaguely reminiscent of cheap white rum. Not particularly good.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours murky yellow with white head. Aroma has wheaty malts and a fairly mellow banana-y ester character. Flavour has a more dominant banana component, wheaty malts, some citrus. Seems decent enough.

Lemon and grapefruit. Hazy yellow pour with decent head and lacing. Light hop tang finish. Tap at Curious Cafe. UT.

Dark brown. Thin head. Aroma of ancho, cinnamon, vanilla, and goodness. Palate similar. I like the warmth to this…it’s alcohol and ancho making you think ancho has scovilles. Nope, just great flavour and it comes out so well in this beer. At nearly 2 years old it is starting to thin out a touch but it’s still pretty good. A point or two lower than when it was fresh, though, so I’ll have to crush the stash.

Black, not much head. The aroma is refined, but lacks subtlety. The Necrophagist of imperial stouts, if you will. It's a rich dark malt two-step with burly barrel. Molasses, sticky toffee pudding, and aggressively boozy Heaven Hill. And this is 2 years post-release. Excellent. The malt base brings big body, sticky complex dark sugars, and even though the barrel kind of bulldozes everything, it does so in a way that you are perfectly happy experiencing.

Pale pink and opaque. No head. Crazy… so it’s typical kettle sour, but with hing and green mango, along with the guava you get from that canned Filipino guava juice…I assume they just went to Superstore, bought a few flats and that’s how they made this. That wildcard element works for me.

Pale, hazy, medium head. Soft body, light wheat, mellow banana. This is a good ferm, decent malt, basically doing a good job on a style that’s deceptively difficult to make. A bit underhopped and doesn’t seem decocted but those are areas for improvement, rather than overt flaws.
