330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Caramel malty and floral, grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of fresh hay, petals, citrusy, zesty whiffs of orange peel. Taste is dry, bitter hoppy, floral, herbal, grassy and slightly yeasty spicy, minimally tart-ish, hints of mustard seed, fresh hay, petals, some laurel, juniper berry. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft, creamy carbonation. Nice composition, not the easiest drinkable Saison - decent.

330ml bottle courtesy of Koelschtrinker - many thanks. I've never had a Maracuja fruit or juice before let alone a flavoured beer version. Reading up it has similarities to passionfruit so here goes: Pours a murky brown with large fizzing off-white head. Once settled loads of smooth retention; promising Aroma is dank with passionfruit like notes as expected; some grain. Not bad Body is moderate and quite smooth on the palate, a low tingly carbonation which is pleasant. Taste is the maracuja fruit, similar to passionfruit, maybe more of a dankness to it but that could just be the beer. zesty notes with the moderate bitter finish. Overall quite enjoyable.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Slightly grainy, minimally spicy, pale malty and earthy, herbal-grassy, minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, a touch of thistle and sea buckthorn. Taste is minimally grainy, spicy, malty, earthy, herbal-grassy hoppy, medium hop bitterness, a touch of thistle; subtle caramel malty sweetness, a fruity hoppy touch of sea buckthorn. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Nice composition, very mild, sadly minimally insipid - OK.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Intense malty nose. Starts fine roasty-malty, not too alcoholic, intense malty-earthy notes, some chocolate, bitter coffee. Well balanced finish, warming-malty. Nice!

Quercus Magic Marie Imperial Stout, Fläschchen aus Lokaltausch DE von Kölschtrinker - Dank an Roman! - Schwarzbraun, undurchsichtig; sparsamer dunkelbeigefarbener Schaum.

10/9/10/9/10/9
