Shared at Palace Hall, Malmö March 2024 tasting (23/03/2024) - (Monster sized can!) big bold assertive citrus and tropical fruity goodness delivered, set upon a sweet malty backbone, light resinous bitter hoppy finish.

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with small white head. Quite malty from the honey malt I suppose, not getting much pils malt or saaz hops here, feint floral and grass hops in the background. Meh. Comes off more as a pale ale than a pils.

Can from Systembolaget. Hazy golden with a white head. Canned 12/27/23. Mango, mild pine, citrus, grass. Not that bitter.

ABV: 7.0%. Murky matt medium orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, toffee - marmalade hops, herbs - floral. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruity hops, citrus - peach, pale malt, fruity malt, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20240320]

ABV: 7.0%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, citrus, candied citrus, tropical fruit - candied tropical fruit, dried fruit touch. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, tropical fruit - candied tropical fruit, fruity malt, sweet malt, tropical fruit, candied citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20240319]

Can, orangish brown hazy. Nose of pine cones. First swig is a big cloying sweet mess of fermenting rotten bitter unripe green grapefruit rinds. Then that's followed by a volatile blast of blasphemous sticky pine tar. Rude as all hell. Nasty nellie, I need a cheap american macro pale lager for a chaser. The bastard is truly an arrogant terrible rude ass bastard. Let me suck on some mouth coating handsoap er sumthin. Terribly on style. Man, this really is a punch in the palate, the finish hangs on forever and I can't feel a thing for about a half hour. Whew. Hands down, this is one of the most terribly on style double IPA I've had in a fricken while. Big fat Mr Yuk on my taste buds, oh shit. Thank goodness I get a buzzy brain numbing reward for enduring this punishment.

Can (from Beer Repulic). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, grassy, crisp malts and even a bit of maize. Flavour is clean crisp malts, with some grass, herbs and mild earthy tones. Refreshing.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Mistig lichtgouden kleur, witte kraag. Licht hoppig, druiven, hint van meloen, citrusschil, lichtbittere finish. Lichte body. Vrij vlak, niet heel uitgesproken smaken.
