Dockyard Brewing Company
Brewpub
in Somerset,
Bermuda 🇧🇲
Associated Venue: The Frog and Onion Pub
We brew what we sell right behind the Frog and Onion in a 250 year old stone warehouse. Our facility is a true craft microbrewery, only producing 1000 kegs a year. We brew 8 varieties of beers and ales, and our style of brewing is decidedly British, using cask style kegging methods, so heavy over carbonation is replaced by smoothly creamy, perfectly balanced natural carbonation through fermenting yeasts. As well as only brewing in small intimate batches, we don’t pasteurize our beers, and cold store them for total freshness and authentic tastes. Some of our beers and ales are also unfiltered, so will have a slight natural cloudiness to them. Can’t choose which one to try? Why not a Sampler, and try 6 delicious tastings of our local brews. Sit back and relax in our Beer Garden and enjoy the expansive historic views of the Victualling yard, right at Frog and Onion.
We are proud to offer a variety of our beers in our Hamilton locations, including Barracuda Grill, Brew, Hog Penny and Pickled Onion.

Old rating - A pint on tap at the brew pub in the dockyard on my Bermuda visit in Oct 2017. Disappointing, a fairly average weissbier.

On tap at the sandwich spot in downtown. This had hints of margarita lime and lager....but it was a tough one. Still, I love hitting things from this brewery when there on business.

Sample at home thanks to Martinus. Brown color, no head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, light creme brûlée. More bitterness in the finish than I had expected. Not bad.

Many thanks to CH-303 for sharing! Country #187. Caramelly fruity nose. The beer starts smooth sourish. A bit woody - I think it turned. Nevertheless dry caramelly bitter back, refreshing with a grainy dry malty finish. Sticky and malty, deep, not bad.
