Can from Weihenweizen: pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is lightly nutty, mostly malty, with some carmel with gentle hoppiness. Not very sweet or very bitter. Well balanced and pleasant to drink.

Can from weihenweizen, thanks: pours light copper with a thick head. Aroma is grapefruit, sort of earthy, plenty of malt backbone. Aroma and taste harken back to an earlier era of IPA... the time of pine and sharp citrus, back when maltiness was an acceptable characteristic. The taste is bitter, strong, lingering. Solid. Terrible graphic design on the can though, for those who care.
