Flesje gedeeld door Benzai. Diep donkerbruin bier met matig beige schuim. Aroma is houtig en koffie achtig. Smaak is koffieachtig. In de nasmaak blijft de koffie lang hangen.

Bottle from het Biermoment, dated 26-11-2016 BB 26-11-2017, ugliest 33 cl ever. Hazy dark brown color, big soapy brown head. Aroma of butterscotch, autumn leaves and roasty coffee. Bit sweet caramel and butterscotch, slight bitter roasty coffee. Bit thin in body perhaps for the coffee, but nicely balanced. Bit high in carbonation, though not disturbing. Decent.

Lots of roast retronasal with some sweetness, chocolate and bitterness. Flavor is light sweet, moderate roasted bitter. Medium bodied. Rather high carbonation. Finish is roasted, slightly dry, light bitter. Pretty nice, but mushrooms?

Bottle at home. Almost black with nice brown head. Quite some licorice and roast, quite earthy too with brown leaves and wet soil. Some chocolate, light malts and herbal candy. Just medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit dry watery feel. OK.

Bottle at home. Poured leaving the depot in the bottle it is a near clear amber brew with a white head. Sweet malts, light caramel, coriander, spices, elderberry, almond, Belgian yeast. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body, quite strong carbonation. Some creamy softness from the oats in the mouthfeel. Decent tripel. Doesn’t pair well with soft spicy cheese, makes it taste fishy. Does pair well with dry sausage.
