Description
Hornbeer is a farmhouse brewery founded in the beginning of 2008 by Gunhild and Jorgen Fogh Rasmussen. The first brewery was very small, brewing only 300 liter batches. But end of July 2008 the brewery burnt down to the ground. Now Gunhild and Jorgen had to start again from scratch. In January 2009 the new brewery started operations. Nowadays the production is around 2000 hl/year. Hornbeer is well known for a very different assortment. Hornbeer´s philosophy is that the beers should be distinctive but still very drinkable.

Århus2008. From tap. Pours black with a huge and dense tan head. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Light roasted to mild smoked note. Light smooth finish with a lingering roasted finish. I’m really looking forward to more beers and the first 10 on a revisit on bottle. Great debut and shocking that some decided to turn their backs on trying this due to political arrogance.
