Red-brown. Alcohol in the nose. A bit sweet and vinuos. Much less hoppy than the average American barley wine. More like an English barleywine.

Dark reddish brown with medium head. Darker than i expected for a Nut Brown - almost the color of a lighter porter. Sweetish chocolatey aroma, with some herbal hop presence. Flavor is sweet and chocolatey up front, but lingers like a dry stout: dry, roasted, almost astringent. Medium bodied and can serve as a session beer.

Dark straw color, thick head and long lasting lace. Light floral aroma. Nice floral and bitter hop flavor, well balanced with medium unintrusive malt. Lingering bitter aftertaste. A good IPA yet not the type to smash yer head in with hops.

What an interesting beer. I can't quite put my finger on what the hemp seeds add to it, but this is a nice sweetish brown ale. The aroma and flavor were chock full of chocolate, caramel, and coconut (yes, coconut) notes. Perhaps the hempseed oil is similar in character to coconut oil?? That combination led to a general impression of german chocolate cake - sounds strange for a beer but rather enjoyable. Sweet without cloying. Nice brown color and lacing. I also should add that this beer does not contain any part of the hemp plant except the seed. There should be no expectation of special herbal qualities because it contains no herb other than hops.

Bleh. Overly sweet, with a koolaidesque lemon flavor. Somewhat of a metallic aftertaste. Some bitterness develops but doesn't help much. Reminds me the Lost Coast Great White, which I liked even less.

Mildly sweet aroma at first, with hints at roastiness, but after a few sips, the heavy mouthfeel and lingering taste overwhelm the faint aroma. Very dark black in the glass, but shows a little red when poured. Nice lingering dark brown head. Nice sweetish roasted flavor, though mild. I like the full mouthfeel. Lingering aftertaste is balanced - with notes of both malt and hops.

A great winter warmer. Plenty of malt flavor makes this a sipper - enjoy it a cellar temps to get the most out of the malt. I could detect a candyish aroma and flavor - almost a cherry and/or vanilla note. To some extent, the flavor was remiscent of flavored cigars, and this would certainly pair well with a good smoke. Firm hopping kept the malt in check. Nice garnet red color.
