4/6/2018. Cask from the Half Moon, Darlington and courtesy of Danlo, cheers Ed! Pours ruby brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malt, plums, leather and molasses. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

500ml bottle from Brooke's Richmond. Dark brown colour with an orangey tinge, large foamy beige head leaving some lacing and aroma of dark malts, chocolate & coffee. Taste is roasted malty, caramel, toasty with ash, chocolate, coffee and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle from Brooke's, Richmond. Clear golden colour, foamy white head leaving lacing and grainy, malty aroma. Taste is malt, grains, biscuit, with fruity berry hop and earthy bitterness. Light bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

From cask at Quakerhouse, Darlington, Durham with OGJ 05.01.18. Dark golden amber. White head and lacing. Aroma of yellow apples and yeast. Taste of malt and yellow apples. Exceptionally low bitterness. Not in good nick.
