Red-brown colour, creamy tanned head with big bubbles. Typical dunkel aroma: sweet malty. Taste is caramel and malt with hints of dark chocolate or coffee with lots of carbonation. Slighty bitter aftertaste. Very good Finnish dunkel! (7/4/8/4/17 4.0)
Bottled (BB 11/2004)
Red-ruby-brownish color. Off-white head, some lace. Malty caramel nose, a bit smoked. Dry roasted mouthfeel, dark chocolate and licorice. Hoppy finish. Still a great beer. (7/4/7/4/15 3.7)

Kuohu refers to the cascade of water down a waterfall. Tumma means dark. This is intended as a Munich-style lager, but seems to have some Belgian yeast character. Fresh malt, with touches of smoke and gingerbread cookies, sets this beer alive. A good example of second-generation Finnish microbrewing (which includes the likes of Laitilan, Turun Koulu, and Stadin Panimo).
