With a passion for “Real Ale” our brewery in Darton, Yorkshire is capable of producing 576 gallons per week. Beer is brewed on an 8 barrel plant (a barrel being 36 gallons), so we can brew 288 gallons per day.

With 21 great beers now available and the list constantly evolving, we can’t wait to show you what Nailmaker Brewing Co is all about.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Pale golden blonde with a lasting white crown. Nose is mellow citric zest, tangerine, soft, pale malts. Taste comprises orange peel, lychee, grass, citric tinged straw, light bread dough. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness. Tidy enough cask pale.

Cask at gbbf 2022 day 3. A mostly clear yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is nice hedgerow row zesty hop,. Floral, green liquorice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet. Loose wheat, grass, lime, green citrus, liquorice, hedgerow hop. Grassy. Palate is semi sweet, moderate cask condition.

Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Mano go present. Light bitter flavor. Mango present. Average light bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Cask at Navigation, Buxworth - Clear gold body, lasting white head. Soft citrus nose, gentle floral background. Nice sharp lemony kick to start, sweet finish. Very nice.

Cask at the Fat Cat, Sheffield. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet, with a crisp, fresh, light, malt, yeastie, light citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Light but refreshing.

So I saw Fin’s rate of this and thought I’ve definitely had this. Had to resort to a UT check in to confirm. Drank it October 20. Gave it a 4. I recall being surprisingly impressed. Cheers Fin for the reminder!

Bottle courtesy of Lynn and Barry, at their house Sunday 10th October 2021 after a lovely afternoon at The Crown. Pours black with a light beige head, nice liquorice, a little salty, chocolate, nice stout.
