Dark brown color, not much head. Lactose, toasted malty aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Burned, lactose, earthy, easy and sweetish. Not robust anyhow at all (like bottle says).

Draught @ SOPP 2015, Helsinki

Pours dark brown with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, berries, yeast and earthy notes. Taste is yeasty, stuffy and farmyardy with loads of rye bready notes. Finish is sweet, yeasty and earthy with some berries and syrup. Almost like a Sahti, but not quite.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at SOPP Helsinki, 20150722) The beer poured deep reddish brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, creamy toffee and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste had caramel, hops and bitterness. A good sweet and hoppy brew.

330ml bottle @ SOPP 2015, Helsinki

Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma of roasty malts, berries, licorice, earthy notes and coffee beans. Taste is flat, sweet and malty with loads of berries, hints of roastiness and cold coffee. Finish is roasty and malty with some berries and flat coffee. No carbonation here, feels a bit weird.

Bottle at Õllesummer. Pours hazy red with beige head. The head stays for a second. Aroma is sweet, malt, citrus, tangerines. Flavor follows the nose. Overall: good one, it was my clear favorite of the new Pihtla brews (they were out of ginger beer, so didn’t have a chance to try that one). I had it again (batch 3), wasn’t as good as the one I tried at Õllesummer (maybe it was same batch, but only older? Fruity hops disappear quickly after all...). Rerate would be more like: 6:4:6:3:13=3.2
