Description
Two Towns Down is a brewing project founded by Sandy McKelvie.

Sandy started his brewing career in the Isle of Man before returning to his native Scotland to complete the Brewing and Distilling Degree at Heriot Watt University. In his third year he was also the in-house brewer at the Hanging Bat which included collabs with the likes of Six Degrees North.

Once the four year course was complete he took a brewing position at Fallen Brewing Co. before moving on to head up recipe development and barrel aging at Black Isle Brewing Co. Having recently relocated to 71 Brewing in Dundee, Sandy has taken the opportunity to launch his own project, showcasing innovative and cutting edge beers while still drawing inspiration from classic brewing philosophies.

Can at ash's. Pours orange, nose is orange marmalade, caramel, dark fruit, taste is sweet toffee, caramel, stewed fruit.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - copper to red with a thin beige head. Nose - dried orange and raisins with Highland Toffee. Toffee apple. Taste - caramel, dried orange, burnt wood and lightly boozy. Palate - medium to full bodied, creamy and sweet middle and finish. Overall - good.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours just-clear amber to brown with a short-lived thin beige head. Aromas of toffee, nuts and spice. Taste is woody, more spice, faint citrus. Light boozy finish.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours clear copper with a decent beige head. Aromas of caramel and dried fruit. Taste is woody, mixed peel, toffee. Dry finish. Nice.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - murky yellow with an off-white creamy head. Nose - pineapple, mango and orange. Taste - more pineapple and mango but with a grassy resinous thing that's hampering enjoyment a little bit. Palate - medium bodied, creamy texture and bitter finish. Overall - good example of the style.
