Sandy started his brewing career in the Isle of Man before returning to his native Scotland to complete the Brewing and Distilling Degree at Heriot Watt University. In his third year he was also the in-house brewer at the Hanging Bat which included collabs with the likes of Six Degrees North.
Once the four year course was complete he took a brewing position at Fallen Brewing Co. before moving on to head up recipe development and barrel aging at Black Isle Brewing Co. Having recently relocated to 71 Brewing in Dundee, Sandy has taken the opportunity to launch his own project, showcasing innovative and cutting edge beers while still drawing inspiration from classic brewing philosophies.

Keg at Craft Beer Co St Mary Axe. Aroma is very sweet. Caramel malts and fruit. Gluey. Clear amber. Frothy translucent white head sticks to the rim. Medium bitter with bitter resin with a tart citrus edge. Then develops sweet fruit and an almost gluey sweetness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Relatively punchy but ultimately not overly exciting.

В целом нормальный стаут, приятный запах ириски, шоколад. На вкус тоже ириска карамельная, шоколада меньше, но есть приторность.
