About
Fresh, Fun, Approachable, Hop-Forward

Hey there! We're Offshoot Beer Co. from your friends at The Bruery. Offshoot is the Bruers' playground, where we dive deep into the world of hop-forward beers. While we could definitely geek out on the intricacies of making these beers, we'd rather just open a cold one and...Relax.

What is Offshoot?

Years ago our founder Patrick Rue made a promise to NEVER brew an IPA. As time went on, our adventurous Bruers KNEW they could make world class hop-forward beers, so Offshoot was born as an offshoot of The Bruery, all while keeping Patrick's promise that The Bruery would NEVER make an IPA.

Where The Bruers Relax

Offshoot is what The Bruers drink when they're off the clock. Nothing better to help you Relax, Escape, Retreat, or Coast.

Keg at Ghost Whale, Brixton. Crisp hoppy pine aroma. Light gold. Creamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Malts. Some lowkey underlying juicy sweetness. Light bodied. Slick. Lifted by soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. India Pils. Light and hoppy.

From a 473ml can on 3/3/2020. Pours a cloudy medium golden with a small head. Has a some citrus and stone fruit in the nose. Sweet up front with lots of apricot, peach and mandarin, with a hint of apple, finished off by a moderate, slightly spicy bitterness. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy with the carbonation moderate to average. Bold and punchy, but still beautifully balanced. Lovely.

From a 473ml can on 2/3/2020 (shared with Butz). Pours a hazy medium golden with a medium head. The nose is mildly dank and fruity. Tastes of sweet citrus with a distinct zesty peel bitterness. Has a slick mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Tasty and enjoyable.

Draft at The Casual Pint Falls Church. Poured a very hazy, cloudy yellow-orange color with a small white head. Aroma was a lot of citrus - orange. Tropical fruits. Light creamy, smooth character. Bitterness is really low in this one. Smooth. Nice stuff.

Floral hops on the nose, has mellow gold body with soft foam on top. Flavour is soft sweet hops. Mellow mouthfeel.
