Description
Fresh, Fun, Approachable, Hop-Forward

Hey there! We're Offshoot Beer Co. from your friends at The Bruery. Offshoot is the Bruers' playground, where we dive deep into the world of hop-forward beers. While we could definitely geek out on the intricacies of making these beers, we'd rather just open a cold one and...Relax.

What is Offshoot?

Years ago our founder Patrick Rue made a promise to NEVER brew an IPA. As time went on, our adventurous Bruers KNEW they could make world class hop-forward beers, so Offshoot was born as an offshoot of The Bruery, all while keeping Patrick's promise that The Bruery would NEVER make an IPA.

Where The Bruers Relax

Offshoot is what The Bruers drink when they're off the clock. Nothing better to help you Relax, Escape, Retreat, or Coast.

Can at L42 - thanks to Ken. It pours crazy cloudy orange with a small white head. The aroma is rich, oily, sticky, orange creamsicle, mango, juicy, green, candied orange, tangerine and sponge cake. The taste is slick, bitter, oily, heavy juicy, sticky, peach, nectarine, mango, apricot, warming booze, bit of spice and grass with a dry finish. Medium body, average carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Filthy and juicy. A touch heavy perhaps, but good stuff nonetheless.

Can split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 05/02/18. Hazed orange with a decent off white swirl. Nose is dusty hops, pine needle, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, toasted malts. Taste comprises spruce, pine resin, grapefruit, light yeast flicker, raw pineapple, boozey strokes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent boosty DIPA ... masks the booze well.

Poured from a 32 oz growler filled at the Bruery tap room. Aroma is super fruity with lots of tropical fruit and lighter citrus notes. Mango, papaya, guava, melon and tangerine. Light grain notes with hints of alcohol. Pours a fairly hazy, dull golden orange with a medium large, moderately thick, white head that recedes somewhat quickly to a thin film that lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some cracker malt and flour notes. Moderate bitterness with light alcohol notes. Medium hop notes that are fairly fruity with quite a bit of tropical fruit and citrus. Lots of mango, papaya, tangerine and hints of stone fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a better than expected hazy IPA. Super fruity hop profile, but the hazy profile isn't quite strong enough.
