PETka from the refreshment stall near the brewery. Slightly hazy red-amber body, off-white head. Caramel, bready notes and light red fruit in the aroma. Lean, dry, bready taste, flowery, herbal, light bitterness in the finish. Quite okay! But don't reseal it and expect it not to use carbonation. With beer like this, the locals' preference of Staropramen becomes even more ridiculous in my eyes, though it probably did vary at some point.

PET Bottle from the brewery (pub at Zadni Treban did not carry it). Not the best of pilsner type lagers, definitely not the worst either. For me it sits maybe somewhere around the top 30%. It had some fruitiness, did not feel entirely clean fermentation-wise. Some diacetyl started poking up when it warmed a bit. But otherwise a nice balance a easy drinking. Good.

Tap at Hospůdka u Mlýna. Ooooh, the first review for any beer from the brewery in 4 years, so exciting! Reckon they gave up on distribution... Hazy dull golden body, lasting white head. Yeasty, citric, grainy aroma, a bit sweetish, not great. Interesting fruity hoppy note on a lean body, ending with a bitter hoppy finish. Actually, quite nice and drinkable in a way really, if atypical. Glad to have tried it!

Tap at Festival minipivovaru, Prague castle.Amber color with white head. Caramel malt, citrus hops in taste. Little bit bland taste of caramel, citrus hops, diacetyl. Bad.

Tap at Festival minipivovaru na hrade 2016. Not exactly the best of beers. Dull, empty, vegetal and slightly metallic as well. Meh

Small white head over hazy golden-orange beer. New World hops, very citrussy, orange & grapefruit, lunaria, nectarine. But again just a trace of diacetyl, after some time. Bitter(ish) hoppy, with a nearly metallic tang in the finish. Bit thinnish MF, but the flavour remains allright. Talk about a respite after the diacetyl-invaded lezak - yet still some here. Thanks to Honza!

Small creamish ehad over coldhazed dark golden beer. Diacetyl, butterscotch, caramel, maltconcentrate. Diacetyl, leaves, some bitterness overlying caramel. Better bodied impression, thanks to the diacetyl, but light and watery all the same. Yet another proof that many’s the Czech brewer just ignores diacetyl... Txs to Honza!
