Orange-foxy beer with good amberish tinted dense head. Gassy, brown sugar and a bit leafy; orange/orangepeel, nuts and sugared fruit. Again something (wal)nutty, oranges and roasted malts in the taste, bit aggressive. This strange grassy smell mixes into the flavour as well. Human sweat, cabbage. I’m not really enjoying this. Rather well bodied, slick, but also astringent. Surprisingly carbonated, as the crown cork had not quite survived the voyage Brussel-Ursel, slightly leaking foam. Ouch. Not my cuppa - how does one say ’tea’ in Breton parlé?

Corked like a champagne bottle, it poured from the bottle with a tremendous amount of white frothy head. The color is a deep rusty orange that is translucent. The initial fragrance is of citrus with a slight hint of yeast. Once you wait out the tremendous head, which laces and doesn’t dimish fully, the flavor is underwhelming, the initial flavor is slighty sweet and slighty bitter. The beer is very flat on the palate with an astringent feel. Way too much head, way to little flavor and not nearly enough of an aroma to make this beer a regular in my fridge.

Bottle. Actually a pretty good beer, though very sour with powerful citrus flavors. Probably would not purchase again, but worth checking out at least once.

Eh, my only issue with this beer is that I was not ready for how sweet it was going to be! I mean it is adaquate for desert, but not too much else.

Celtika White Beer label 750ml. Oranges and spices. Felt this was a pretty grand beverage. Thick white head which lasted quite a while. Flavors of oranges and spices was well balanced.

Bottle. Apple malt aroma with hints of pepper and clove. Cloudy light amber color with large, quickly collapsing head. Tart lemon/grapefruit flavor - very dry - a bit like a Lambic. Agree with Joris - the change to Celtik must have been a good thing - not spectacular but a nice tart beer.

The beer I drank was called Celtika Ambrée. Same ABV - so I presume this is the same beer. If anyone knows better, please tell me. Clear chestnut red; off-white, slightly irregular head. Caramel, pie with nuts, bit of leather in the nose. Bitterish-sweet caramel and roasted malts, bit of tannines. Bitterish recedes leaving rather cloying sweet. Puff pastry. Creamy, buttery MF, well-bodied, slick. Not very edifying, this. They allways succeed better with the dark brown beers. But at least, with the Rohanne name the infection the other tasters witnessed, seems to have gone.

Orange tinted yellow-gold beer with yellowish, good head, receding. Chalk when pouring. Faint citrus, bit of malt. Weird taste. Again citrussy, with a little bitterness, as a moulded orange. Some ambrée malt. Retronasal little salty pinch, and a bit of chaff. Light to medium bodied, slight acidity burn. It’s not my favourite. But it would seem the change from Douar Men to Celtik has brought some healing changes, no, fiulijn?
