Pint draft at Africa Grill in Seattle Airport (A Gate area of Sea-Tac). Pour is orange ruby, slightly off white head and some great layering and settling to the pour. Aroma is really nothing at all, though this was served SUPER cold in an iced glass. As it warmed, I got a little bit of pine hop, though not much. Taste has some of the pine hops as well as grapefruit peel citrus. Much of this flavor is masked by a dirty, chemical almost flat taste. I am not sure how fresh this keg was, or how clean the lines were. Overall, just OK.

Draft at The Garage in Seattle. Pour is reddish amber with a bit of cloudiness. Off white head that faded rather quickly. The aroma is slightly roasted malt and some nice citrus hops. The initial taste was a bit sour, which surprised me. I had three pints of this, and all started this way, and by the 2nd or 3rd sip wasn’t present anymore. After the initial sour, a nice malt backbone was revealed with a very clean pine hop bitter finish. This was a decent session beer for the purpose.

Hazy gold with a white head. Faint hoppy aroma, possibly served too cold. Fine flavour, midway between an India and an English. This is another ale that Hennie would term a Cape ale. Finish a little bland, becoming fuller as the ale warmed.

Draught, all over the Puget Sound. Tasty beer. Pours hazy amber color with white foam head. Taste is that great mix of caramel malt sweetness and hop flavor. Nice full and chewy mouth feel. The finish still has the sweetness of the malt but now it is competing with a lingering hop bitterness and a bit of tang. Very good.

Draught Served... ON THE ROCKS?? Black, exept reddish where the ice floats; thick brownish head. Despite the ice, very present roasted, dry-kilned malts and grains, even a bit cigarette ash. And even the same in the taste. In fact, it only diminishes the beer, the beers served in most brewpubs in Washington were ice cold too. Cigarette ash, roasted - I get some restsweetness. MF: well,... iceslickness. Is this serious, rating an iced beer? YES, IT IS! If the brewery/distributor/management lets its employees serve it this way, than it deserves no better!

Draft: Pours a muddy brownish orange with a large sandy head. Fruity and malty aroma with a little fig. Tastes lightly floral with more fruity tones, caramel, and a litle earthy kick. Lots of little flavors rolling around on the floor kicking each other.
