Fruity hop aroma. Big head, hazy golden color. Tastes sweet, with a little citrus sour, bitterness is not obvious.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, mildly spicy yeast as well as some sweet malts to it as well. Flavour is fruity, wooden, floral and some mild floral and bready notes to it. Wellbalanced and quite tasty.

On tap at ’Café Hesp’. Clear, dark red with a tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of raisins, prunes, caramel and some licorice. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of raisins, prunes, caramel and some licorice, followed by a short, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice!

Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met veel schuim. Smaak is krachtig en zoet, kruidig met iets van anijs, zoethout en drop.

33cl bottle.Pours a clear dark ruby, with a tall beige head wit good retention. Smells like caramel, sweet spices, Belgian yeast. Tastes sweet and metallic, with notes of caramel, dried fruit and coriander. Imbalanced towards sweet, with the other taste notes not too present.

Huge beige head, dense, stable over chestnut coloured beer. Caramel, (over)ripe banana, roasted mlats, melanoidins, parsley. Roasted malts galore, sweet wholemealbread, with candi sugar, molasses, liquorice, speculoos. Again faintly herbal as parsley, aucuba or cypress. Feels very spritzy, slightly burning MF, well-bodied and viscous. Generosyncratic, and too sweet. NB If we maintain an abt/quad category, here, this is one....
