Bottle at Hoppzak. Pours clear dark golden with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, fruits and light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.

Sampled @ Zythos Bierfestival 2015 Dunkel braune Farbe, ordentliche beige Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, schwach. Geschmack süß malzig, Honig, Karamell, naja!

From tap. Pours hazy amber to brown with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty and slight caramelish. Sweet, caramelish and toasted malty. Toasted malty finish. Toasted and sweet finish.

Aroma of malt, caramel, candy sugar, sweet fruits. Flavour is rather sweet. Slightly boozy. Overall way too sweet and sugary for my taste. *** revisit 2025: I was too hard on this beer before.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB Feb 2018, large sample. Hazy golden color, medium frothy white head. Aroma is quite fruity, slight grain, citrus, orange marmelade, bit mandarin, spicy. Medium sweet in taste, slight sour fruity note, grainy. Not bad actually.

Thanks! Sample from draft @ Gollem. Dark red brown, big mocha / chocolate milk head. Nose is lots (way too much soy sauce), teriyaki sauce & overripe red fruits. Taste still has soy sauce but luckily less of it, iron, gravy, chocolate syrup, overripe fruits & herbs. Iron & light mashed fruits / syrup body. Too much ABV for the yeast it seems. Not my thing, didn’t like it. "Het lijkt erop dat dit degustatiebier deze bierliefhebber uitzongerlijk niet heeft kunnen bekoren."
