6oz pour at brewery. Pours opaque yellow with a small white head. Thick stonefruit with some bright citrus accents on the nose. Flavour has fairly bitter citrus peel up front, base has a generic stonefruit character. Lots of gritty chalkiness. The initial bitterness is good, but there's not enough juiciness to back it up and the chalk deals the death blow. This is just terrible.

6oz pour at the brewery. Pours deep brown with a tan head. Tons of cocoa powder and lactose on the nose. Flavour has more roast coming through, more of the coffee, though there's still a fair amount of cocoa powder coming through that cheapens it. Body is reasonable, erring on the thick side. Disappointing, given the quality of previous beer in the Drip series.

On tap at brewery. Pours opaque yellow with a white head. Orange citrus, mango, lactose, and hop burn on the nose. Flavour has citrus pith, bitter stonefruit pit, chalk, and hop burn. Very mediocre DIPA.

473ml can. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, short lived, brown head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, wafers and coffee. Sweet flavour of chocolate malt, caramel, brown sugar and coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. A delicious dessert beer. Not a DRIP left!

473mL can, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is loaded with over-the-top marshmallow, lots of perfumey notes, and some vanilla. Flavour is pretty brutal, with lots of vanilla, chocolate, and marshmallow. Not remotely cohesive or complex, just bludgeons you with adjuncts in an over-the-top way. Not good.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy blonde with yeast particles that sink to the bottom and a medium, creamy, short lived, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, orange juice, mango, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, grapefruit, pineapple, earthy yeast and piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and delicious.

On tap at Superflux, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is pretty soft, with gentle earthy notes and a touch of coffee. Flavour is bold, with lots of coffee, some bitter cocoa, light roast, and a metallic tinge. Regular Drip is surprisingly bolder and better balanced; not sure what didnt quite work here, as the body isnt as roasty and doesnt seem as well-balanced. Its pleasant but I expected better.

On tap at Superflux, pours jet black with a thick brown head. Aroma is full of peanut butter, lactose, caramel galore, and chocolate in pretty reasonable cohesion. Flavour is very adjunct-forward, with overwhelming caramel, cocoa, lactose, and PB powder. Nothing subtle about this, like a melted candy bar on steroids. A bit too artificial and, as usual, I dont think that PB powder works well. Another novelty beer. Meh.

Tasting at Ryan's, can
Black colour, no head. What strikes most here is the big perfume aroma and flavour, this is weird; strong, cheap chocolate, vanilla; sweet, full bodied; strong chocolate flavour, vanilla; the alcohol is quite evident, for a 8% ABV beer.
Pleasant, but more artificial than ever.

16oz @ Ryan's (thx for the beer, man!) shared with Faress and Alex. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: Extremely perfumy, some artificial chocolate. Taste: along the same lines, extremely artificial. Overall: this is not good.
