Hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish pure white head, only a centimetre tall. Aroma of bright coffee, malt, cardboard, milk chocolate and a touch of breakfast cereal and marshmallows. Light-bodied; Strong coffee flavours at first with some biscuity malt and a touch of bread noticeable as well. All ending with the good milk chocolate, lactose and some caramelised sugar flavours. Aftertaste is nice and relatively complex for the style with a lot of sugars and malt noticeable, but the coffee and especially milk chocolate flavours are very nice and somehow work out well with the lighter lager body. Overall, a good kolsch with a nice lactose and coffee flavour throughout that shows well, especially in the summer heat! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Washington (West End), D.C., on 11-March-2017 for only US$3,49 sampled at home in Washington on 24-May-2017.

Bottle. Golden beer with a whitish head. Coffee and nutty aroma. Coffee and mineral flavor with light chocolate. Medium bodied. Coffee and mineral notes linger with light fruitiness.

3.99 bomber from Trader Joe's. Pours murky golden with an offwhite head. Aroma is slightly rotten banana, clove, yeast. Flavor is coffee, watered down coffee, light fruity undertones, I almost taste artificial grape. Very meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle picked up from the local Trader Joe’s. Poured a kind of murky yellow orange color, mostly clear though. Aroma was light coffee, but mostly kind of what you’d expect from a blonde or a kolsch. Flavor was light bitter coffee. Easy to drink though.

Bomber from Trader Joe’s in Davis, CA. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Light coffee aroma. Med minus body. There’s coffee, but it isn’t enough to make a great impression. The stuff only has coffee flavor tho, and coffee serves for bitter. Sort of a nothing beer from one of the cheap contract brewers in The Old North West IMHO. Coffee probably can cover a multitude of issues.
