Description
A modest jewel in the Luxembourgish brewing world, Brasserie Simon is both a keeper of the soul of good beer and a creative rebel. Rich in its independence, the company emphasizes the quality of its products and customer service to strengthen its Luxembourg roots.
At Brasserie Simon, we take the time: our fermentation process is still separated into two stages as we did always: a main fermentation in open vats which is followed by maturation in closed vats. A small craft brewery since 1824, Brasserie Simon is the only brewery in Luxembourg to have the latest generation open fermentation tanks guaranteeing the taste of real beers from the past.

33 cl bottle, 17/03/14, 13:13858,
The beer starts fresh yeasty, nice clove aroma, pears instead of banana. Interesting. -the mainpart is fullbodied, smooth, yeasty-peary, Nicely smooth and not too sweet in the end.
A great Weizen! I like this interesting aroma-combination. Great stuff! --> 13/12/13/13

33cl bottle with golden foil, BB 17/04/14, 11:080T3
Dark golden in the glass, sweet nose. The beer starts not as sweet as expected, a bit dry. The mainpart is medium sweet, a bit dry, smooth but no other aroma. The aftertaste is nicely hopped, but only bitter, no aroma. Slightly grainy.
--> Stronger Pale Lager - but without distinctive aroma. --> 7/10/6/7

a) Very pale in the glass. The beer starts malty, slightly grainy. Very smooth. The mainpart is quite sharp, a bit unround, but very interesting. In the aftertaste grain, a bit of sharp hops, malt.
--> an interesting beer. Not as easy to drink as expected, but interesting! 10/11/10/10
b) Sehr helle Farbe, mild-weicher Antrunk. 12/13/13/12
