Very pale yellow, huge foamy white head, lots of lace. Strong aroma of Saaz hops and ear wax. Hoppy, white wine-like palate: hint of apples. Hoppy bitter aftestaste. A bit like a witbier. Quite thin bodied for this ABV. Expected more from this.

Bottle. Dark brown colour, OK tan head. Aroma seems sour, but I cannot trace it in the flavour. Sweet, malty warming, toffee/caramel flavour. Sweet aftertaste.

Rich mahogany brown with sparkling red highlights under a voluminous off white head. Toffee and caramel aroma. Caramel flavor delivered smoothly, but needed more body and complexity to relly round this out.

Bottled(330ml). -golden coloured, very similar to Tennents Super Strong, alcohol and not too much else in the aroma, sweet alcohol finish

Yeasty, high on apple and tanin. Golden, low carb big head. Pear flavors, dusty yeast. Relatively light body, oily mouthfeel.

A hazy amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel while the flavor is sour, a little flat and with notes of caramel. But the body is thin.

Ewwww..... looks ok, golden with a big head that leaves some amoeba looking lacing around the glass. Tastes.... foul. Just about the worst tasting beer I ever drank (Rostocker Freibeuter has a similar taste, but isn’t as foul, and K Plus has a worse taste, but it’s not as cloying). Alcohol and... alcohol.... and... malt. And it’s quite bitter to top it off. By the way, what kind of name for a beer is Slalom, I mean, the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear that is Janica Kostelic, not beer. Just noticed the gold medal on the label.... how on earth did this get it... but hey, it was in the 70’s... who know what the judges were on.

Subtle in most every way. Light citrus and herbal aromas. Light yellow and clear. Flavors of fruit, flowers, and malt. All very light. Very light palate. I had this beer chilled but I think it would be refreshing cold.

Thanks to Darkover for the trade. This brew pours a dark reddish-brown color with a thick beige head that disappeared pretty fast. Decent lacing. The aroma is malty and sweet but there is a hint of sour fruit at times as well. Medium-bodied with a vinous character. Malt, hops and a touch of alcohol don’t seem to mesh well for some reason. The flavor is decent but unbalanced somehow. The finish is fruity and sweet. Overall a decent Dubbel but I feel it could be much better.
