Growler from Callister, Vancouver
Red and brown color, small head. Nice aroma of fermented backberries. Good body strength; aggressive acidity, fruity, a bit too much acetic acid, tart and astringent; the fruity component goes from mix berries to some cherries. As delicate as a punch in the face, but with some good traits and no flaws.

Draft - Peach skin, not sweet and an herbal medicinal note. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Stone fruit and some earthy yeasty notes. Fruity is not sweet or overly dominant, but it also doesn’t enhance the style/beer for me.

Draft - Very juicy citrus and some stone fruit. Cleanish gold with a decent white head. Citrus, touch of funk, vanilla and bitterness, juicy notes don’t really translate to the taste with the bitterness.

On tap at Callister, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is wonderfully dank, with lots of piney hops, some tropical fruitiness and a slight herbal quality. Flavour is very pungent and dry, with lots of piney and dank hops upfront, with a pronounced herbal quality and finishing rather floral. Quite assertive in the astringency on the finish, but in a very tasteful way. Very nice stuff.

Growler - Chilli, boozy, chocolate and almost vodka notes. Jet brown black with a small brown head. Dark chocolate, big dark malts and pepper notes. There is an alcohol oddness I am getting, but I think it is a personal thing.

Very cloudy. No head. Nose is quite fruity. Has a hint of lemon, papaya. Mango, yes...strawberry less sure of that. Sweet, quite low apparent bitterness, touch of alcoholic dryness. More mango and papaya sort of tropical notes.

On tap at Callister, pours an opaque cloudy dark burgundy with a very small head. Aroma brings out lots of pitted dark cherries, light wood and a touch of balsamic. Flavour is complex and deep, with a nice blend of balsamic, dark cherries and other dark potted fruits, along with some wood and ample acidity. The acidity is rather biting on the finish, but it's very pleasant. Nicely done.

On tap at Callister, pours an opaque filthy creamsicle orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of lactose, subdued strawberries and tropical fruity hops. Flavour is rich and pulpy, with a great mix of tropical fruits, light lactose, and resinous hops. Very pleasant fruitiness and bitterness on the finish. Excellent filthy beer.

Draft - Big tropical fruit notes. Murky orange. Tropical notes, mango peel and a light bitterness in the finish. Creamy and fun, not sure I get the strawberry, although a tinge of mint which may be the leaves.

No head. Dull sorta muddy purple. Basically a blackberry nose. Clean tartness, sharp, cut with a lot of blackberry sweetness. The fruit tartness is nice. It’s not complex but it does have a really nice character.
