Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a foamy white head. Mango is all over the place. Aroma, that is. There is a citrus aspect hinting at dank. Med + body. Flavor is mango. There’s a bit of that citrus thing, and the caramel can be noticed if you try. There’s a definite hop burn on the tongue. It’s pretty dry, and it’s more bitter than 50 IBU to me. Really tasty stuff.

Sample from bottle #19/2108 during the "Bob’s Private Bottle Share" on 11/21/2016. The beer pours a clear reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, piney hops and caramel. Medium to full-body with flavors of caramel malt, resiny hops and fruit. The finish is hoppy up front with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

500 c&c from The Davis beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity/funky/Bretty. Med body or so. Flavor is tart sour with wood, pale stone fruit, and Brett. More sour than tart? Gets woody/earthy in the finish. Astringent for me. Tasty sour.

Bomber from Final Gravity in Roseville, CA. Pours dark murky ruddy copper with a beige head. Aroma of rye and caramel. And maybe a touch of smoke. Full bodied. Flavor is rye, caramel/treacle/toffee, Smoke? Maybe. It’s not dry. It’s not bitter. It’s not heatish. But it is rather pure pleasure to drink. Nice!

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours orangey gold with a white head. Aroma makes me think of both dank and zest. Near full bodied. Flavor is dank citrus, maybe even zest. Some grapefruit aspects. Adequate caramel for support. Either there’s heat or the hops burn. Or both. Bitter. Bitter. Dry enough. Excellent.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours coppery gold with a white head. Aroma has tropicals which seem mango - hinting at dank. Malt? Med body. Flavor is dankish - has mango and then pine/citrus and then seems fairly dank. My tongue is hop ridden. Caramel is detectable - this isn’t super dry - but it’s hoppy and bitter. Yummy ale.
