BarrelHouse was established in 2013 by co-owners Jason Carvalho and Kevin Nickell, along with Chris Vaughn with a simple mission…bring together Good People, Good Times, and Great Beer. Since those early garage brewing days, BarrelHouse has quickly grown to be the largest family owned and operated craft brewery in San Luis Obispo County.

Clean light amber color, compact head. Nice citrusy hopping throughout this beer, quite good job with the malts too, although there is an impression of butter. Light residual sweetness. Balanced.

Bottle. Golden beer with a whitish head. White grape and light biscuity aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with pear and white grape. Medium bodied. Grain and pine lingers with grapefruit.

Bomber from Imbibe Wine. Nose is caramel, lightly oaky vanilla laced with hints of whiskey and bubblegum. Lightly hazy rusty amber with a small beige head. Flavor is a light whiskey note, caramelized sugar, bubblegum, and a hint of white pepper.

Dark blond color. Aroma of English muffin. Undercarbonated soft mouthfeel, light cereals flavor and low bitterness.
Not offensive, but this one is backward.

[2/17/15] Draught at BarrelHouse Brewing in Paso Robles. Cloudy amber. Sourish vinous aroma with some fruits, barnyard and cobwebs. Sour flavor with a bit of red wine, oak, fruitiness and some funk. Medium-bodied. Very good.

[2/17/15] Draught at BarrelHouse Brewing in Paso Robles. Nice shiny hazy yellow. Lovely aroma of barnyard, apricots, oak and some yogurt. Very sour flavor, lemony and yogurty, with barnyard, apricots and oak. Quite light-bodied. Great stuff.

[2/17/15] Draught at BarrelHouse Brewing in Paso Robles. Nitro. Black with a nice creamy head. Lovely big chocolate and cocoa aroma. Flavor with lots of chocolate and some roast. Medium-bodied, nitro mouthfeel. Really good stuff.
