Bottle. Pretty clear pour from the bottle at least, orange with a medium off-white ceamy head that lasts a long time and leaves nice lacing behind. Aroma is muted dank, tropical, pine. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, strong biscuit malt backbone, dank, piney and a bit tropical hops. Medium light body. Solid, not exceptional.

Ugly murky tan...or in the eyes on an optimist gloriously unfiltered. Aroma is woody, slightly citrusy. Taste is similar, with some sweetish pale malt and maybe a dash of crystal. Ok, ultimately a pretty basic IPA

Light amber with a thin, even head. Mellow aroma. On the palate, there’s a light bitterness, some hoppy fruitiness and florals, indistinct but enjoyable, and a fairly pronounced rye character. Nice.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear golden with a small off-white head. Nose brings out fresh piney hops upfront, some secondary hop notes of spiciness, floral and herbal hops. Flavour is quite balanced, with piney and resinous hops upfront, balanced by just enough caramel biscuity malt sweetness. Very well-balanced and clean - easy to drink. Nothing extraordinary but it's a well-brewed IPA - one that gets lost amongst the sea of many high quality Californian IPAs.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy bronze / copper with a small off-white head. Nose is quite light but pleasant, with notes of citrus, light tropical fruits, and earthy malt. Flavour is quite dominated by the rye, with earthy malt, citrus hops, and spicy rye. Very flavourful for a pale ale. The use of rye is quite well done. Good stuff.
