Growler 200 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup who wandered alone through the dark woods on a stormy day to get this for us. Clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt - and a buttery whiff. Medium body, plenty of roasted malt, a little burned caramel and toffee. The finish is surprisingly bitter. 301108

Draft. An amber-brown beer with a thick lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of malt and straw as well as a little grain. The flavor is very sweet with a bit too much grain and straw, leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish, but the sweetness also lingers.

Draught, 2.0% at the brewpub. Buttery aroma, some old hay and stable. Clear dark brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is quite bready, also has some stable, but as much as the aroma. It is sweet, but not overly so. Burnt malt aftertaste. 3 3 5 3 9

Growlered, 2%. The aroma has some cow and a little butter. Clear brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is OK malty and dusty with a hint of hay and cowstable. OK sweetness, but not overpowering. The bitterness is slightly astringent and the aftertaste slightly watery. 5 3 5 3 12

Draught at the brewpub. Weak malty aroma, spicy and sourish hint. Clear dark golden colour. Small tight white head. The flavour is quite spicy, lots of clove. Also quite sweet, but balanced by a distinct alcohol note. The bitterness is quite distinct as well, and a bit rough. 6 3 6 3 15

Bottle, 8.3%. Yeasty and coriandery aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Small white head. The flavour is also yeasty and coriandery. Good maltiness and warming alcohol, but there is a little burnt plastic note as well. A good dried fruit note helps a bit with the plastic, though. 7 3 6 3 15

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a lowly collapsing tan head. Roasted malty and slight breadish aroma. Sweet malty with a light spice accent and a mild bitterness. Goes into a more roasted and dark roasted finish with a distinct dryness/subdued sweetness.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color, creamy head. It has a real Belgian aroma, and even more flavor, result of a good yeast; very spicy; good body strength, and well bitter. A good one.

Draught at the brewpub
Beautiful hazy amber color, creamy head. It has some caramel flavor, medium body, a nutty character but also some vegetables due to the fermentation or lagering, and all this hides what appears to be a good but light hopping. The final is better, with bitter almonds.

Amber color. Nutty beer, with weak mouthfeel and strong bitterness, light vaniila and aniseed aroma. Unbalanced and not very interesting.
