Description
Natural Selection brewing is a collaboration between the International Center for Brewing and Distilling at Heriot-Watt University and Stewart Brewing. It gives an opportunity to postgraduate MSc Brewing and Distilling students to design, market, sell and launch a new beer.

Bottle from Drinkmonger and cask at The Other Place - review is a combination of the two. Clear amber body with an off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of orange, mango and overripe pineapple. Flavour of orange marmalade, mandarin and a peppery finish. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. The juicy hops work really well. A very good, hoppy Bitter.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Natural Selection Mutiny On the Beagle ].[ Trade by cgarvieuk ]. Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, hay - grass, light yeasty, UK yeast, moderate hoppy, grass - hay. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, caramel, sweet fruity, UK yeast, dusty, nutty - bread notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150116]

Bottle, 5.8%. Clear amber with medium white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, caramel, little biscuit and hop. Flavour is malt, caramel, biscuit, little earthy, medium sweet, little toasted and a little bitter.

Bottle shared at Craig’s. Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy white head. Pleasant aroma with some aged fruits, berries and caramel. Medium sweet flavor with some leafy bitterness, toasted bread, grain and caramel. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes fairly sweet with some leafy bitterness, more toasted grains, dry caramel, dried berries. Nice.
