Bottle. Malty aroma, chocolate, coffee, roasty notes. Tastes the same as aroma, light sweet, light to medium bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation and malty bitter sweet finish with roasty notes. Ok.

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky red/brown pour... See-thru. Not much of a black ink as name would suggest. Oh well. One finger soapy beige head, low retention. Lasting thin layer on top leaving decent lacing. Roasty on the nose with slight fruity sourness. Thin body, medium carbonation. Light and soft mouthfeel, a bit watery. Roasty bittersweet taste with some sour fruity notes. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts, slightly charred. Grainy. Some wood notes, low hop character. Liquory aftertaste, a bit of alcohol burn on the tongue. Dry finish, roasty and mildly bitter. Overall, decent stout. Lacking in body a bit but otherwise ok.

Bottle from Beer advent calendar Austrian brewery no.35 Pours black with ruby borders against the sun. Alcohol is most remarkable part of aroma along with raisins. Taste of dried plums, raisins and alcohol. Strange for stout.

Klare bräunlich rötliche Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. In der Nase Röstmalz, Kaffee und getrocknete Früchte. Geschmacklich süß und röstmalzig mit Kaffee und Karamell, der Alkohol ist spürbar. Zum Abgang hin röstmalzig-bitter. Mittlerer Körper mit aktiver Kohlensäure. Ganz ok, aber kein Highlight.

Tap. Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is pale malts, yeasty, a touch buttery. Taste is bready yeasts, a touch moreish butter, flowery as well. Super velvety mouthfeel with soft natural carbonation. Excellent Helles!
