Sample, thanks to Grumbo, shared with Blackhaddock at our rare country mega-tasting afternoon. Labelled as a marzen on Untappd, but definitely tasting and looking more like a dortmunder. Below average example of the style, fairly bland with a fading sweet malt presence.

Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is wheat, mild spices, a bit citric. Taste is mild banana and spices, a bit citric, light-bodied, but that's okay for the ABV. Spritzy mouthfeel. Not bad actually, pretty clean.

Bottle. Unclear golden-amber color with white head. Aroma is honey, melon, pretty nice, not too intense. Taste is sweet honeycake, a bit boozy, lacks a bit of hop balance, sweet and a bit boozy finish. Oily mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Pretty clean, and nice aroma, but just a bit too shy and overly sweet.

Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, schwach hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich sehe ich es ebenso an ein Münchner Helles angelehnt, mehr malzig als hopfig, leicht getreidig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Holzfass. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is mild butter, sweetish grains, soft and balanced. Taste is sweetish, not too hoppy, not really bitter either. Soft carbonation and mouthfeel. More Munich Helles than the other beers of their range indeed.

50cl bottle. A minimal hazy pale yellow colour, white head. Aroma of sweet citrus lemonade, sugar. Taste is the same, no beer flavour.

Ein eher blässliches Gold füllt das Glas und die weiße, mittelporige Schaumkrone wirkt wässerig-flaumig und nicht sonderlich gut haltbar. Die Duftnoten halten sich sehr zurück. Man nimmt lediglich ganz leichte süßliche und spelzig-getreidige Noten wahr. Der Antrunk kommt frisch und passend rezent. Am Gaumen viel Aromatik. Getreidiges Malz, kräftig würzig und auch ganz kräftig gehopft. Es gibt sich zwar überaus vollmundig, aber doch nicht hundertprozentig rund und auch nicht ganz harmonisch. Darunter leidet leider die Süffigkeit leider ein wenig. Im Abgang geht die leichte Malzaromatik blitzschnell in die herbe Hopfenaromatik über. Zwar ist dieses Bier keine herbe Enttäuschung, aber dennoch ein ganz passables Bier mit leicht bitterem Beigeschmack.
