Draught at the brewpub. Nut brown, creamy head. Roasty buttery malt aroma. Fairly sweet with gentrly rounded mouthfeel. Carefully roasty buttery malt passes by edgeless and pleasant. Traditional Austrian low bitterness opens up for some molasses in the finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, rich firm head. Strong ester aroma of ripe banana. Fairly sweet with spritzy mouthfeel. Fruity and mellow with spun sugar, bread and banana. Finishes without bitterness. Not the most refreshing of weizens, but bonus points for being experimental and playful.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy amber, small head. Sheer butterscotch aroma. Fairly sweet with strong buttery popcorn flavour. Medium-full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. The flavour only ranges as far as toffee, caramel and butterscotch making it strictly one-dimensional. There’s basically no Belgian yeast character. Feels like a poor photo copy of the American photo copies of Belgian dubbels.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy amber, creamy head. Rich sweaty grapefruit aroma. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel and above medium body. Lots of piney apricoty hops and some syrup. Finishes with significant resiny bitterness. American all the way.

On tap at the brewpub. Appealing reddish-amber in colour with a decent white head. Aroma of pine resin, citrus hops, oranges and a touch of red fruit sweetness. Full mouth feel, with pine hop flavours coating the mouth, accompanied by caramel, red currants, grapefruit, a slight yeastiness and a powerful dry finish. The alcohol was extremely well hidden - I didn’t notice it until I woke up the following morning with a headache. Great stuff.

On tap at the brewpub. Deep gold in colour, slightly cloudy with a big white head. Aroma of grainy malts, spice and citrus fruit. Flavour had plenty of orange fruit, lemon tartness, light spicing and green herbs, with a decent dry finish. A distinctive wheat beer.
