Description
Brewed in Silchester and drawing inspiration from new world hops, Germany’s malts and beer styles from across the globe, we vow to make your drinking experience as enjoyable as our brewing.
The Brewery was taken over in early 2022. The new owner then bought Boss Brewing Company in Swansea. Boss went into liquidation, but restarted, and in 2023 Wild Weather closed the Silchester site and relocated to join Boss in Swansea.

Cask at the Rake, 14/02/18. Very lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is melon, tangerine, bread dough, grassy, mellow hops. Taste comprises melon, light passionfruit, sharper citric bite than the nose suggests, straw, airy malts, tangerine. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Another decent hoppy cask number from these guys.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. A slightly hazy amber pour with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma; rather thin in the mouth, but with a pleasant tropical fruit taste and a biscuity body; then some jammy fruit to finish. Very drinkable.

Can at Maidenhead Inn. Sweet peach aroma, surprisingly enough. Cloudy pale gold amber. Thin white creamy head. Light sour. Then the beach come through more. Salty too. Light bodied. A tad slick. Flat. Dry finish. Alright.

330 ml. can. BBF 25SEP2018. Vegan friendly according to the can, nice. Always happy to see brewers give this information. Hazy orange, off-white head. Nose is massive lemon more like low sour proper lemon sorbet than actual lemon, lovely. Juicy lemon taste, strange plastic taste & feel that somewhat appeals to me, briefly bitter with lingering pasty, strange plastic lemon plastic sorbet feel which is weird lingering doughy pasty, some mixed feelings but overall I like and the lingering aftertaste. Weird chemical citrus taste that appeals to me. Pastry doughy taste.

330 ml. can. BBF 21SEP2018. Vegan friendly according to the can, nice. Always happy to see brewers give this information. First time I see a banana sour. Orange amber hazy, low red hue, little head. Nose is strange sweet low candy fruit, reminds me a bit of my grandma’s compote, sweet cherry compote, cheap grenadine candy in a good way,… Taste is little sour more like massive sweet cherry grenadine candy, like this vague candy fruit profile & less actual fruit, strange low fermenting leaves fruit, compote, more of that compote,… Low fermenting fruit & leaves body, fruit tea profile. Bit odd but fair, overall rather big fruit tea with compote profile, unspecified dried fruit listed as ingredients which is what I get dried fruit tea profile & clear sweet cherry.
