Description
Young Master Brewery was born out of a desire to brew distinctive, world-class beers locally for Hong Kong. With this project, our goal is to revive the craft brewing tradition in Hong Kong and bring the local drinking experience up a notch. Our beers are brewed fresh with the highest quality ingredients. We insist on preserving everything that’s good and natural about freshly brewed beer. To this end, we do not filter, pasteurize, or add artificial stabilizers or chemicals to our products simply to extend their shelf-life. We also use naturally produced carbon dioxide during fermentation and do not artificially carbonate. Our beer will be the freshest you can find in Hong Kong with the least distance traveled from grain to your glass.

Tap at Takumi The Gardens. Clear golden body, off-white thick head. Sourish pleasant lemony taste. Lovely bone dry citric sour, even with a light earthy hint and a vaguely bitter finish. Would definitely enjoy beach-side!

Tap at Takumi... Brownish black, off-white head. A layer of vinegar on some cheese and dark malt. Nice chocolatey malty touch overwhelmed by acetic sourness. Thankfully, the barman was cool enough to take it back... Guess the rotation sucks. Hope to try it in good shape at some point!

Tap at Takumi The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur. Lightly hazy golden body, thick off-white head. Bit buttery, fruity, lightly herbal aroma, mildly vegetal. Dry taste, bit of a bite, creamy, light, bit vegetal, leaning on DMS and mildly herbal. Bit messy and not worth anywhere near 30 MYR/0.33l. To be rerated if in HK.

Nice rounded grapefruit flavor, just a bit of bitter bite at the end. Crushable.

Vintage 2022 but does say Double Chocolate, so I'm guessing it's this. Black, a tan head is soon less than a coat. 3+ Aroma of chocolate, roast, some smoke, vanilla, pepper. Short of syrupy, low carbonation. Bittersweet with fudgy chocolate, foil, nut paste, only hints of Bourbon (via caramel, oak & vanilla), hard working but discreet bitterness. There's a little warmth at the end. Very nice.
